1. 30-Day Author Workflow Accelerator
Your package includes the detailed author, market, and writing-process assessment, one 90-minute strategy and setup call, a personalized Commercial Direction Brief, 30 days of private Slack coaching, and one two-hour collaborative Custom Writing Workflow Build.
2. Workflow Build preparation
At least three business days before the build appointment, submit your current process, preferred tools, relevant Books & Biz products, sample files, recurring frustrations, and desired outcome. If required materials are incomplete, the session may be used to clarify and map the workflow instead of building it. The appointment is not automatically extended or repeated because materials were missing.
3. Workflow Build participation
The build is collaborative. You will work with Dana, share your screen, and operate your own accounts. It will be tested with one current fiction project, with reasonable refinements during the coaching period. The build must occur no later than Program Day 25. You may reschedule the build once, subject to availability.
4. The relationship
You are purchasing private coaching, strategic guidance, feedback, and the deliverables listed for your selected package. This is collaborative coaching—not done-for-you writing, editing, publishing, marketing, legal advice, financial advice, or a guarantee of commercial results.
5. When your program begins
Signing and paying reserve your place, but your paid coaching window begins only when your first coaching call is completed. Weekends count toward the 14- or 30-day window. A U.S. federal holiday that falls on a weekday does not count as a program day.
6. Communication
Private Slack support is asynchronous Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM Eastern Time. Replies are provided within one business day. Dates, appointment inventory, and support hours may change. Wednesday has no calls. To begin Dana’s review, provide the complete context, files, links, and questions, then send READY as a separate Slack message. The response window begins when READY is posted during support hours.
7. Calls and recordings
Calls are recorded and shared with you for your personal use. Call availability is limited and may change. You are responsible for booking promptly through the provided calendar and attending prepared.
8. First-call rescheduling
We understand that life happens. You may reschedule your first coaching call one time at no charge, subject to appointment availability. A second request to reschedule the first call is not guaranteed and may be approved only at Dana’s discretion. If Dana declines the second request, the coaching engagement will end and 50% of the total package payment will be refunded to the original payment method. Additional rescheduling requests and missed appointments do not create a right to another appointment, refund, credit, or program extension.
9. Client responsibility
You will participate in decisions, provide accurate and timely materials, protect your own passwords and account credentials, maintain backups, and operate your own accounts during any screen-sharing work. Do not send passwords, payment-card information, API keys, or other account secrets.
10. Products and intellectual property
Books & Biz products, memberships, AuthorBrain HQ, templates, software, and other paid offerings are not included unless your package expressly says so or you already own them. Your access to existing products remains subject to their own licenses. Coaching does not transfer Dana’s underlying methods, templates, software, or reusable intellectual property for resale or redistribution.
11. Results
Publishing and marketing outcomes depend on the market, execution, budget, timing, platform decisions, and factors outside Dana’s control. No bestseller status, ranking, revenue, profit, income level, return on investment, or other result is promised.
12. Payment and refunds
Payment is required in full to reserve a coaching opening. You may cancel this coaching engagement by emailing [email protected] no later than 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the seventh calendar day after purchase, but only if your first coaching call has not begun. A timely cancellation under this provision will be refunded to the original payment method. Your cancellation right ends when your first coaching call begins, even if fewer than seven calendar days have passed since purchase. Once the first call begins, ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE, except where a refund is required by law. The specific 50% second-rescheduling provision above applies only before the first call. Missing materials, delayed participation, unused support, failure to book, or a change in your availability does not extend the program or create a refund or credit outside this written policy.
13. Electronic agreement
Typing your legal name and selecting the acknowledgements is your electronic signature. You agree that the electronic record, timestamp, agreement version, and security audit information may be retained as evidence of this agreement.
