1. Ultimate Whale Reader Review scope
This is a private pre-publication reader-experience and positioning review of one finished book. It is not a public consumer review, developmental edit, line edit, proofread, tracked-change edit, or chapter-by-chapter editorial letter.
2. Two complete reads
Dana reads the full book twice. The first read is an uninterrupted Kindle reading experience. The second is an analytical read assessing engagement, clarity, character response, pacing, payoff, genre expectations, promise delivery, series potential, packaging, positioning, and organic-marketing alignment.
3. Private working notes
Dana’s notes from the analytical read are private working notes. They are not tracked inside, attached to, or returned within your manuscript. You receive the finished report and prioritized recommendations described by the service.
4. Complete materials and timing
You will provide the finished manuscript in EPUB, DOCX, or both; a complete intake; and working access to any cover, blurb, sales-page, ad, or launch materials you want assessed. Delivery is within 21 days after Dana receives all required materials. Missing or inaccessible materials pause the delivery clock.
5. Rights and confidentiality
You represent that you own or control the submitted material and authorize Dana to privately read and analyze it for this service. Dana will not publicly share or identify your name, pen name, book title, manuscript, characters, plot, excerpts, cover, blurb, ads, scores, findings, screenshots, report, sales information, or participation in the service. A public sample, if shown, will be wholly fictional and will not use or anonymize real client material.
6. Client responsibility
You will provide accurate and timely materials, protect your own passwords and account credentials, and maintain backups. Do not send passwords, payment-card information, API keys, or other account secrets.
7. Products and intellectual property
Books & Biz products, memberships, AuthorBrain HQ, templates, software, and other paid offerings are not included unless your selected service expressly says so or you already own them. Your access to existing products remains subject to their own licenses. This service does not transfer Dana’s underlying methods, templates, software, or reusable intellectual property for resale or redistribution.
8. Results
Publishing and marketing outcomes depend on the market, execution, budget, timing, platform decisions, and factors outside Dana’s control. No bestseller status, ranking, revenue, profit, income level, return on investment, or other result is promised.
9. Payment and refunds
Payment is required in full to reserve an opening. Because capacity is limited and preparation and access begin immediately, all sales are final and payments are non-refundable. Missing materials, delayed participation, unused access, or a change in your availability does not create a refund or credit.
10. Electronic agreement
Typing your legal name and selecting the acknowledgements is your electronic signature. You agree that the electronic record, timestamp, agreement version, and security audit information may be retained as evidence of this agreement.
